Our fifth grade students visited Ecuaplastic, an Ecuadorian company that uses recycled material to manufacture polyethylene hose, house roofs, ecological boards, furniture and equipment from recycled tetrapak containers. Cardboard, polyethylene (plastic) and aluminum are used to generate these products.
The quality of the product is excellent. It is worth mentioning that the house roofs are resistant to humidity and noise, as well as, anti-seismic.
Our students enjoyed the visit, and what is more important, became aware of the significance of recycling, reducing and reusing their juice and milk tetrapak containers and plastic bottles.
